Each of these elegant buttons was made by hand from porcelain clay and then glazed with a beautiful shino style glaze which is set against the natural ivory colour of the porcelain clay.

The effect of the shino glaze is that it is blue where it is thicker and breaks to browns where it is thinner for a beautiful and interesting effect.

The buttons have a beautiful smooth feel to the touch and are not affected by detergent or water and were fired to stoneware hardness.

They would be beautiful on a special garment or could be used to add a unique and elegant touch to an existing blouse, shirt of sweater.

Each button is a one-of-kind piece of wearable art and these buttons coordinate with other Blue Shino buttons in the shop.
